Closed: Truck Driver / Warehouse Worker

Bermuda Rentals Ltd is looking for highly motivated Truck Driver / Warehouse Worker to join our Team!

Job Summary

  • You will be responsible for delivering and setting up Marquee or Mega Tents, tables, chairs, fun castles, etc., for our customers, as well as assisting with the day-to-day operational tasks at the rental shop like cleaning and servicing our equipment.

  • A great attitude is very important, you must have initiative, strong interpersonal communication skills, and provide excellent customer service.

What your Job Tasks & Responsibilities are

  • Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 4pm, with one day off during the week. Given work scheduled, you may work evenings/weekends/holidays.

  • Deliver and pick up rental orders.

  •  Assist in setting up tents, tables, chairs, fun castles, etc.

  • Prepare gas machines for rental.

  • Assist customers when items are collected or returned.

  • Clean rentals upon return.

  • Perform maintenance on rental equipment, as needed.

  • Keep warehouse clean and tidy.

  • Assist office staff to answer phone and take reservations and counter orders using the business specific software.

  • Record work time keeping activity through the provided software system.

What you need to have

  • You must have a valid H Class (preferred) or Intermediate Class Driver's License.

  • Must be able to handle heavy lifting (150lbs) of fragile materials.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and/or prior experience servicing small tools and equipment.

  • Must possess strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, complemented with a can-do attitude, supporting coworkers and customers.

  • Team player capable of getting the job done while supporting the overall success of the team.

  • Must be able to work outside normal hours, given work schedules may require evenings/weekends/holidays.

Bermuda Rentals Ltd is looking for highly motivated Assistant Manager to join our Team!

Job Summary

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the General Manager and in the day-to-day tasks at the rental shop. Strong interpersonal communication skills, and hyper-attention to detail are critical for success in this role.

What your Job Tasks & Responsibilities are

  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the company’s available services, event product line and pricing structure.

  • Consults with clients to determine event details; recommends appropriate event rental products, product setup and event layout based on the client’s needs.

  • Reviews expectations and/or timelines of customer events with General Manager and Office Manager; if required, attends customer events to supervise installation and/or directs event staff during installation.

  • Overseeing daily operations and stepping in during the manager's absence.

  • Handling customer queries, feedback, and any issues.

  • Assisting in inventory control and stock management, if needed.

  • Serves as main point of contact for General Manager.

  • Builds long-term relationships with existing and new customers.

  • Follows all procedures for safety violations and injuries.

What you need to have

  • Preferable experience in the Events or Hospitality industry

  • Superior interpersonal communications skills.

  • Ability to develop meaningful and trusted relationships with partners (existing and prospective).

  • Digitally and technologically savvy.

  • Familiarity with and proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite of products.

  • Interest in key social channels to engage with customers and to identify new and emerging product/competitive trends.

  • Team player capable of driving individual results while supporting the overall success of the team.

  • Pro-active and results oriented.

  • Experience in sales or customer service industry an asset.
